I think I've already told some people this, but I'm planning on taking the 一級 (Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1) this Winter. I just got my study books for it and I'm all psyched. I doubt I'll be able to pass it, as my lack of exposure to modern Japanese in the last year has demolished my vocabulary base. But I'm certainly going to try--I've already been working on my kanji for a while. Also, by the time the test comes around, I will have a semester of advanced modern Japanese under my belt, and that'll help me get back into whatever mode I have to be in to do well in Japanese. Now the question is, can I study all this Japanese and manage three CS classes and a math class? Next semester's gonna be fuuuun!
